Try 5.2 (the one that is included in the current nuBuilder release). IIRC, 5.1 has the issue that you are describing.

Yes, I checked and you remember correctly, there is a long term issue with phpMyAdmin and exporting views.
It is a kind of slippery trap, as the effects on nuBuilder are quite distant from the cause, at least for a newbie like me...
