I blew it all up and starting from scratch with the latest download version
I just want to say thank you for the help here. As wasn't able to make a go of the original set up, it did get me point in the right direction. On the previous version that I had downloaded, upon closer examination of the SQL dump in the zip file, I found that it was missing a field needed to construct the table and so that column was never created when the program was started.
I downloaded the latest zip and started completely from scratch after totally blowing blowing up the previous attempt. I am back to the point where I found the trouble but this time the form is complete and this time round I'll be constructing the Fast Browse/Edit Form and the table. If I hit any more snags, I'll be back. But again thanks for the help.
