Corrupted User Home - Way Back? (fixed)

Unread post by mjd300 »

I am hoping I am not the first to report this, as it is an odd issue.

While experimenting / learning (no code modifications, everything done inside nuBuilder), I appear to have corrupted the User Home page / form (nuuserhome) and cannot find a way back

what I did:
  • Removed what was there and replaced with three buttons (3 forms I had created), all of which were type Run. That was ok.
  • Tried different options, and to see if I could create and put a subform (so the form would show without needing to click). That didn't work.
  • At some point, new objects started to be displayed as iframes, containing an empty User Home, with the iframe continuously reloading.
Now, after putting back the previous buttons (type Run), they do not work as before. Whatever I do now, it displays the reloading iframe. Image attached (I've put labels as One, Two, Three, the only part that I can change now, whatever object I put, I get those iframes based on number of objects).

I have tried removing all the objects and adding again. I've tried putting them back exactly as they were. But each time, after saving, I see the same User Home with the iframe.

Is there a way to reverse what I have broken?

I am hoping I can fix it without uninstalling / reinstalling.

Are the button's Method set to "Button" in the Tab "Run"?

Ah... ok, great. Thanks

So, no it wasn't set to "Button" for Method in the Tab "Run".

I added Method - Button, and due to being required to add something in Run, I added the same form. It now is working.

Looks like it was either due to cloning not filling in those attributes, or my experimentation knocking something off.
