Upgrade v09.09.23 To v10.04.20

Is there a best practice procedure for upgrading nuBuilder without corrupting both functionality and data in existing applications?
To upgrade to the newer version of nuBuilder, all you have to do is delete your current productionnu2 directory after creating a backup of productionnu2/config.php, copy the productionnu2 directory from the new version's tar ball into your nuBuilder installation directory, then copy your backup of productionnu2/config.php back into productionnu2.
There have been no database schema changes, the only thing which has changed is the PHP code base.
