nuBuilder Forum

nubuilderPro looks very good. However, it seems very slow. Open up a form to edit takes ages. Even closing down the browser and reloading makes no difference. Any ideas?

Its unlikely your browser.

Its probably your host or connection. Try it on your local desktop.

I realise that but thought a refresh may help.
It is on localhost on my computer running under xampp. Even stopping/restarting apache and mysql does not seem to help.
It make it very tedious to do anything.

It seems a bit better when first starting the computer, but eventually slows again.

Problem Resolved!

McAfee Internet security AV scanning is the problem. Switch off realtime scanning and all good for nuBuilder.
Hope that is helpful for any other developers. Now I just have to find out if there is a fix.

I replaced Windows with Linux many years ago, so I might not give appropriate advice, but I see two ways:

1. in Av settings there should a list of folders to exclude from scanning: add your nuBuilder project folder (or your Document Root folder);
2. install you Web Server in a virtual machine (VirtualBox, VMware, etc.) with a Linux distro inside, and say goodbye to any antivirus program.

Hi when i try to connect to my site with IE i just get a blank page, no login or anything. But it works fine from chrome or firefox.

if you search in this forum there are many entry for problems with IE.
