Lookup question

Hello 
I guess for somes in this forum it will be a silly question and i also was already watching tutorial part 6, but i can't figure out how to do this:
I have two tables: Table1 and Table2
In the tables i have these columns:
Table1: test1/test2/test3
Table2: test4/test5/test6
Now i wan't to use the lookup because test1of Table1 and test4 of Table2 will have the same content. As example maybe Table1 includes companys and Table2 contact persons to this companys. But if i follow the tutorial i just get the ID while browsing the entrys and not the column test1 that includes the text content.
Could someone please help me with that?
