Pickup values from other field

Hi guys, I am very new to NuBuilder and exploring it. I am developing simple record management and would like to ask for your help.
While 'Adding Record', I have two fields in form first is 'DATE' which defaults to current date. The second one in the form is 'FIN YEAR' where I would like to get the details from 'DATE' field and convert it to year i.e. YEAR(DATE))
Would also like to ask how to dynamically update 'FIN YEAR' values if I change 'DATE' value.
