this is back.
TCPDF ERROR: The font definition file has a bad format: /volume1/Eridanus/tcpdf/fonts/uni2cid_ac15.php.
i reverted back to previous function as mentioned in the post and it is looking fine again.

Please ignore me. I have solved the issue. I compared the tcpdf fonts folder to the latest pull of github.
It appears i have gained a few extra files (not sure how) that are not in the github pull. one of which is the file mentioned in the error.
i have deleted my tcpdf folder and replaced with the github version to clean out any other files that shouldnt be there and your original routine works fine.
