nuBuilder Forte 4.5 Release

Dear nuBuilders,

We are excited to announce today that we are releasing nuBuilder Forte 4.5.
In the last few weeks, we have been tirelessly working to improve nuBuilder and we believe that nuBuilder will help you enjoy building great applications even more. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who contributed and helped with testing.

Aside from speed optimisations, general improvements and bug fixes, nuBuilder has been slightly redesigned to improve the usability and a few new features have also been added.

Some highlights:

- Take notes using the integrated WYSIWYG editor
- The new "Codes Snippets" helps you organise your own code snippets collection and have quick access to it
- Basic Implementation of 2FA
- Use global Hash Cookies
- New fields in the "User" Form like Team, Department, Position, Account expiry date etc.
- Use the "Cloner" to duplicate any form or to transfer a form and its subforms to another database.
- View the active sessions
- View and Manage all Objects and Access Levels directly within the Form Properties
- Display the logged in users
- Fast access to frequently used functions
- Activate various options in nuconfig.php
- Update wizard
- Test your email settings
- PHP 8 compatibility
- Versioning added

Follow the steps below to update from v.4 to nuBuilder 4.5:

1. Be sure to backup your nuBuilder database before doing this update.
Export your database to a file by using phpMyAdmin or the mysqldump utility.
The Backup consists of a single file containing all nuBuilder tables and data (e.g. nubuilder4.sql)

2. Backup your nuBuilder files e.g. by adding them to an archive like 20200109_backup_nubuilder4.zip

3. Download nuBuilder 4.5 from Sourceforge.

4. Delete all files and folders in your current nuBuilder folder (Except for those you may have created/added). You will need to transfer the settings from your old nuconfig.php to the new one.

5. Extract the downloaded .zip file to your nuBuilder root folder.

6. Modify nuconfig.php (Enter your DB connection etc.). You must restart your browser after saving nuconfig.php in order for changes to be reflected

7. Log into nuBuilder, go to the Builders tab and click on the 'Update' button.

8. If all goes well you should see a message: "You will need to log in again for the changes to take effect."

9. After updating, test your site carefully to verify there are not any issues.
