Basic Tutorial

Unread post by Charlie »

Hi folks
New here... this is not a critic, but a call for help...

I've looked through many tutorials, docs and videos (i.e. the pizza express ;) ) here and on YT.
Well, my ole brain and eyes prove to be way too slow just following these high speed videos, sorry.
For my taste, all these materials are showing things rather then explaining things.

Gee, I developed database applications for the desktop while getting old :o but never touched the subject of web based applications.
I do know MySQL / MariaDB quite well, no problem there, but I fail miserably to get even the most basic browse and edit forms to work - let alone to customize them into something viewable...

Sure, there are many bits and pieces of valuable info in many threads here on the forum, but this is imho unsuitable for a beginner with PHP and nuBuilder...
So my question: Are there some more basic tutorials explaining context, a proper workflow step-by-step and from start to end which could help to lower the learning curve somewhat?

Thanks for your input on this!

Kind regards from Switzerland

Charlie

Hi Charlie

I recommend these User Guides. Everything is explained there step by step:

nuBuilder Forte User Guide 1
nuBuilder Forte User Guide 2

PS: You can slow down the video by changing the Playback Speed setting.

Hi Kevin

Aaahhhh... I have never seen the 'Old' User guide but just the 'new' one...
That's why I had this persistent feeling of not touching any base there...

Thanks for the tip - much appreciated!

Kind regards to/from Switzerland ;)

Thank you. Never noticed these either.
The videos are cool but for me as well, they just passed in a blur.
