Browse form with date range filter

Hello,
I have a browse form with a date field.
I would like to filter the records by a date range adding 2 date input boxes, on the browse form, like "From date" and "To date".

Of course i would to preserve the ability to use the standard search and add, if desired, a date range to filter the result

How can i do this?
