Size of edit form too small - can't resize

Every so often I come up against a small problem with the size of edit forms for adding new records. Is there any way to fix their size or resize them? (you don't seem to be able to drag the corner like normal boxes to resize) Below is an example where the boxes at the top overlap each other and it could do with being wider.

What if you increase the column width?
